VolcomIs it とは?

「Volcom」は、アメリカのスケートボード、スノーボード、サーフボード（サーフィン）向けのファッションブランド。1991年、リチャード・ウールコットが旧友のタッカー・ホールと共に創立。“Youth Against Establishment（体制に反抗する若者）”をコンセプトとしており、主にボードスポーツシーンにおいて3Sと呼ばれる“サーフ・スケート・スノー”を独特なパンキッシュデザインで提案しています。ブランドとしての活動は多岐に渡っており、3S各分野のライダーのサポート、大会のオーガナイズ、ムービーの作成、パンクロックバンドのレーベル創設なども手掛けています。日本でも『NYLON』、『mini』、『Zipper』、『ViVi』、『PS』、『GLITTER』、『ELLE girl』などさまざまなジャンルの女性誌に掲載されており、若者を中心に支持を集めています。
