Vivienne WestwoodIs it とは?

1970年代にマルコム・マクラーレンと“Let It Rock”というショップをオープン。その後1976年にパンクが台頭してからは、コンセプトが変わるたびにショップ名を“Seditionaries"や"World's End"へと変更。一躍“パンクの女王”として有名になり、1981年の初のキャットウォークでは今では伝説の“パイレーツコレクション”を発表しました。1984年になるとそのデザイン哲学を方向転換。イギリスが誇るサヴィルローや17、18世紀のアートや文化背景にインスパイアされた作品が登場するようになりました。現在、パリコレクションで発表するゴールド・レーベルの他、よりカジュアルなレッド・レーベル、そしてメンズを展開。また近年は環境問題に関心を持っており、地球温暖化の危惧をスローガンに掲げたプリントやDIY精神を謳ったTシャツなど、さまざまなエコロジカルアイテムを提案しています。
