イギリス発のブランドで現在パリコレクションに参加。高い技術力にフェミニン、ガーリー、ストリートなどの要素を加え、かっこ良さと可愛さを兼ね備えた独自性のあるスタイルを提案。洗練されたデザインや雰囲気は世界中で圧倒的に支持されています。動物愛護にも関心が高く、革や毛皮を一切使用しないことでも有名。デザイナーのステラ・マッカートニーは、元ビートルズのポール・マッカートニーの娘として1971年ロンドンにて誕生。「クリスチャン・ラクロワ」でクチュールを、サヴィル・ローの「エドワード・セクストン」でテーラードを勉強。その後英国の名門セント・マーチンズに入学。卒業コレクションでナオミ・キャンベルやモデルのケイト・モスを起用し、一躍脚光を浴びました。1997年には「クロエ」のデザイナーに抜擢。2001年グッチグループから自身のブランドを設立。近年では「H&M」や「adidas」、「GAP」などとのコラボレーションでさらにファンの裾野を広げています。
