PRADAIs it とは?

1913年にマリオ・プラダがイタリアのミラノに皮革製品を開業したブランド。世界から珍しい素材や質の高い皮を集めて製品をつくるのがブルジョワたちの間で話題になりイタリア王室の御用達になりました。しかし、1958年にマリオが死去して彼の娘が引き継ぐと人気は低迷。その後、1978年にマリオの孫娘であるミウッチャ・プラダがオーナー兼デザイナーになり、マリオが旅行カバンに使用していた工業用防水生地のナイロン素材「ポコノ」のバッグが日本やアメリカで人気を集めました。1996年には逆三角形のロゴプレートを付けた製品が世界中でヒット。現在のプラダグループの総帥は、ミウッチャの夫であるパトリッツィオ・ベルテッリ。2011年以降は、世界各国の伝統工芸品を素材として起用したシリーズ「メイド・イン・〜」が展開されています。日本では、青山。銀座、名古屋、神戸に路面点があり、サングラスやメガネ、香水、ボディパウダー類以外の大部分の所品をプラダジャパンが扱っています。
