ＬとＶ、花と星を組み合わせたデザインの「モノグラム」、日本の市松模様からインスピレーションしたと言われる「ダミエ」があまりにも有名な、世界で愛されているハイブランドです。創業は1854年。LOUIS VUITTONがパリのキャプシーヌ通りに世界初の旅行かばん専門店をオープンさせたことから始まります。その実力が認められ、1867年のパリ万博で銅メダルを授与し注目を集めました。その後、贅沢な素材を使ったシンプルなデザインのオリジナルバッグを中心にさまざまなファッションアイテムも提案しています。プレタポルテのアパレルラインを開始するにあたり、1998年ファッション界で活躍するマーク・ジェイコブスをデザイナーとして迎えました。毎シーズン発表される新しいコレクションでは、村上隆とのコラボレーションで生まれた「マルチカラー」や、スティーブン・スプラウスとコラボした「グラフティ」など、今までにない斬新なアイディアで数多くのセレブを虜にしています。
