JOHN SMEDLEYIs it とは?

1784年に誕生したイギリスのニットウェアブランド。創業当時は、歴史上の人物として有名な看護師、フローレンス・ナイチンゲールの叔父であるピーター・ナイチンゲールがジョン・スメドレーの共同経営者でした。18世紀後半、ジョンが単独運営を行うようになってからニット作りをスタートし、その後最高級素材と独自の製法で作られたニットは瞬く間に有名になりました。特に、ほとんどの製品に使われているジョンスメドレーズ・シーアイランドコットンは直接契約の牧場から素材を仕入れているため、他にはない着心地を生み出しています。その品質の良さから有名メゾンからもラブコールを受け、これまで多くのブランドとコラボレーションをしてきました。また、顧客にはトム・クルーズやマドンナなどのセレブリティが名を連ねていることでも知られています。洗練された上品なデザインも人気。ショップは全国に5店舗。オンラインショップも展開しています。
