フランスのエルメス・アンテルナショナル社が展開するハイファッションブランドです。初代のティエリ・エルメスが1837年に馬具工房として創業し、ヨーロッパの貴族や皇帝に馬具を納めていました。その後、自動車が発展するころには鞄や財布などの皮革製品に事業を移し、1930年代には時計やウエア、宝飾品、ティーカップなどのカトラリーなどへと展開。1935年には香水、1937年にはエルメスを代表するスカーフが誕生しました。また、革なめしや独特のステッチなど最高の馬具を作る技術がエレガントなデザインのバッグへと受け継がれ、1984年にグレース・ケリーに由来する「ケリーバッグ」を発表。「バーキン」や「フールトゥ」など、その時代のトレンドを盛り込んだ名品はセレブをはじめとする世界中の人々に愛され続けています。
