1906年にジョージ・ジェームス・コックス氏によってイングランドのノーザンプトン州に設立されたシューズメーカー。1949年に伝統のグッドイヤーウェルテッド製法を用いた代表的なアイテムであるブローセル・クリーパーズ（通称ラバーソール）を開発しました。その後、クリーパーズをはじめとするジョージ・コックス社の製品は、50年代のテディ・ボーイ、70年代のパンク、80年代のロカビリーなど、イギリスのユースカルチャーの中で愛され続けました。ラバーソウル以外にブーツも人気。
