1982年、ドメニコ・ドルチェとステファノ・ガッバーナによって設立されたイタリアを代表する高級ブランド。1985年にミラノでレディースコレクション、1990年にメンズコレクションを発表しました。近年は、アパレルにとどまらずバッグや財布、アクセサリーなど幅広く商品を提案しており、多くの著名人がカジュアルに着こなすことが有名となって特にメンズが人気。コンセプトは、力強い官能的な女性。最近は、上品さを兼ね備えたデザインで幅広い支持を集めています。また、1994年にはカジュアルラインとして「D&G」コレクションを発表した後、別ラインの「ドルチェ&ガッバーナ・ジーンズ」や「＆」なども次々とデビュー。日本では、2001年に「ドルチェ＆ガッパーナ・ジャパン」が設立されました。「D&G」は、2012年８月に展開が終了予定。
