フランスで誕生したラグジュアリーシューズブランド。創立者であるクリスチャンルブタンは、1964年にパリで生まれ「エルメス」「シャルル・ジョルダン」「シャネル」「イヴ・サン・ローラン」「クリスチャン・ディオール」などのブランドで靴の製作に携わり、1991年に同ブランドを立ち上げました。真っ赤なソールがトレードマークで、女性の脚を美しく見せるエレガントで上品なデザインが人気。また、中東を旅した際のオリエント文化から影響を受けたデザインも特徴的で、足の指が見えるくらい浅くカットされた独特のデザインは、女性の足をよりセクシーに見せる効果があります。顧客は、カトリーヌ・ドヌール、アンジェリーナ・ジョリー、ニコール・キッドマンなど。日本では、浜崎あゆみや梨花が愛用していることでも有名です。製品は5万～10万円程度で売られ、メンズラインもあり、靴以外にバッグも販売。数多くのブランドとコラボレーションしていることも有名です。
