「Brooks Brothers」は1818年にNYで創業した老舗メンズブランド。高級テーラーとしてスタートし、その後1845年にアメリカで初めて既製服のスーツを販売。大統領エイブラハム・リンカーンが2期目の就任式のためにジャケットをあつらえたことでも有名です。また、創立当初より最高品質へのこだわりを強く持っており、現在も常に革新を続けるブランドとして知られています。その代表例であるボタンダウンスタイルの“ポロカラー シャツ”や形状記憶の“ノンアイロン ドレスシャツ”の開発は、今でも世界中の多くの人に親しまれています。1979年に日本に進出してからは、高温多湿の気候に合わせた“クール・ウールスーツ”も発表。さらに近年ではトム・ブラウンをゲストデザイナーに迎え、新コレクション「BLACK FLEECE BY Brooks Brothers」を発表。伝統と奇想天外なデザインの融合が大きな賞賛を集めています。
