botkierIs it とは?

2002年、アメリカにてモニカ・ボトキエがスタートしたバッグブランド。ファッション業界でカメラマンとして活躍していた彼女が、高い収納性と利便性を兼ねそろえたファッショナブルなバッグを求め、自身でデザインし始めたのがきっかけ。後にバッグコレクションのファーストラインである、“Trigger”が誕生しました。丈夫で耐久性に優れた上質レザーを使用しており、強いデザイン性が特徴。ポケットや仕切りが充実していることや、カラーバリエーションが豊富なことでも人気を集めています。その後も“機能的、実用的、スタイリッシュなデザイン性、ディテールへのこだわり、日常で使用できる”をキーワードに、“Sophie”、“Carlton”、“Bianca”などのラインを相次いで世に送り出しました。2007S/Sにはベルトラインを発表し、ブランドのカテゴリーを拡大。現地ファッション誌のエディターやモデル、セレブが火付け役になり、現在ではイギリスや北欧、日本でも市場展開されるワールドブランドに発展しました。プライスはバッグが6～8万円、ベルトが2万円程度。日本では、エストネーションやフローレントなどのセレクトショップで取り扱われています。
