adidasIs it とは?

1920年にダスラーの兄弟が設立した“ダスラー兄弟商会”という靴製造の会社が前身になったドイツで生まれたスポーツブランド。1948年にダスラー兄弟商会が解消されて弟のアドルフが創業しました。名前の由来は創始者のアドルフの愛称“アディ”と“ダスラー”をつなげたもの。スポーツ用品全般を製造販売し、スポーツをする際に必要な用具はほぼすべて網羅しています。主力商品のスニーカーの代表モデルは、カントリー、スタンスミス、スーパースター。登場以来ほとんど形を変えることなく、現在も老若男女に愛用されるアイテムです。また、大きく分けて２つの商品ラインがあり、本来のスポーツブランドとして現在の企業ロゴ“ストライプ”を冠したライン「パフォーマンス」と、1996年以前の企業ロゴ“トレフォイル（三つ葉）”を使用し2001年にデザイン性重視で新たに登場したライン「オリジナルス」に分かれています。
